For its second volunteer event of the summer season, the Hellenic Hearts 2017 Class visited The Lansdowne Theater, joining the community in its restoration efforts.

Operating as a single screen movie theater from 1927 to 1987, the Lansdowne Theater is one of last great Philadelphia-area theaters from the 1920s that remains largely unchanged.

The historic theater will be converted into a major concert venue featuring musicians from around the world and available to local non-profit performing arts groups.
